Terms of Service
Effective 2026-11-01
These terms are an agreement between you and Xiaoyu Guan, an individual ("we", "us"), about Piccolo and this website. By installing, using or buying Piccolo you accept them.
1. The product
Piccolo is a macOS menu bar app that moves, resizes and arranges windows with global keyboard shortcuts. It needs macOS 14 or later and the Accessibility permission. The home page describes what it does.
2. License grant
We grant you a non-exclusive license to install and use Piccolo on these terms.
- You may use Piccolo for personal or commercial use on up to 3 Macs per license.
- The license is not transferable: you may not give, sell or assign it to someone else. You can move it between your own Macs by choosing Deactivate This Mac in Settings, General, and then activating it on the other Mac.
- You may not redistribute, resell, rent or sublicense Piccolo or a license key.
- You may not reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble Piccolo, except where the law allows it despite this restriction.
- Piccolo is licensed, not sold. We keep every right that these terms do not grant you.
3. The trial
Piccolo comes with a 14-day free trial with full features. It needs no account and no card. To keep using Piccolo after the trial ends, you need a license.
4. Purchases
Orders are processed by Dodo Payments, the merchant of record, which handles payment, sales tax/VAT and invoices. The Dodo Payments Buyer Terms also apply to the payment. A purchase gives you a license key for Piccolo.
5. Prices and taxes
Prices are in US dollars. The launch price is US$4.99, as a one-time purchase. The price will rise as Piccolo grows; a later price change does not change what you paid for a license you already bought. Dodo Payments works out and collects any sales tax or VAT that applies to your purchase.
6. Updates
Every Piccolo 1.x update is included in your license. A later major version, such as 2.0, may be a separate paid purchase.
7. Refunds
You can ask for a refund within 30 days of purchase, no questions asked. See the Refund Policy.
8. No warranty
Piccolo is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise that Piccolo will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that it can move every window: an app may refuse a size or a position. Nothing in these terms excludes a warranty or a right that the law of your country does not allow to be excluded.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, lost data or lost business, arising from your use of Piccolo. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim related to Piccolo is limited to the amount you paid for your license. Nothing in these terms limits a liability that the law does not allow to be limited.
10. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. We post the new version on this page with its effective date. If you keep using Piccolo after that date, the new terms apply to you.
