Privacy Policy
Effective 2026-11-01
Piccolo is developed by Xiaoyu Guan, an individual ("we", "us"). This policy covers this website and the Piccolo app.
The website
This website sets no cookies, runs no analytics and makes no requests to other hosts: it loads no web fonts, scripts or embeds. It is hosted on GitHub Pages, and GitHub may log visitors' IP addresses. See the GitHub General Privacy Statement.
The app
Piccolo uses the network only for the following three things.
- License activation. When you activate a license, Piccolo sends the license key and your Mac's model identifier (for example MacBookPro18,3) to Dodo Payments.
- License validation. About once a week, Piccolo sends the license key and the activation ID to Dodo Payments.
- License deactivation. When you choose Deactivate This Mac, Piccolo sends the license key and the activation ID to Dodo Payments.
- Update check. Once a day, Piccolo fetches
https://piccolo.damao.io/appcast.xml. Sparkle sends the app's name and version in the User-Agent and no system profile. This file is served by GitHub Pages, like the website, so GitHub may log your IP address.
Like any request on the internet, these requests also carry your IP address and standard HTTP headers, including a User-Agent with the app's name and version and the version of macOS's networking library.
Nothing else leaves your Mac. Piccolo has no analytics and no crash reporting. Your windows, shortcuts and config file stay on your Mac.
Purchases
Orders are processed by Dodo Payments, the merchant of record. Dodo Payments processes your payment and billing data under its own privacy policy.
Support email
If you write to support@damao.io, we keep your message and your email address only to answer you and for our records.
Deletion and contact
To ask us to delete the emails and any other personal data we hold about you, write to support@damao.io. Data held by Dodo Payments or GitHub is covered by their privacy policies, and requests about it go to them.
